Taking our cue from the Cincinnati Civil War Round Table - one of the best Round Table web sites out there - the North Carolina CWRT has started a branch of "The Civil War Bookstore" on our site, and we are open for business! Presented in association with Amazon.com, we plan to offer Civil War buffs a place not only to stock up on still more Civil War books (can we ever have enough???), but to aid an important cause at the same time. That cause is battlefield preservation, and for every book that you purchase from Amazon by linking to them through this web page, a portion of the purchase price will be donated to a specially-designated fund. The books won't cost you a penny more than if you linked to Amazon directly, but by going through our site first, you'll be adding to that fund that will help a cause near and dear to all our hearts.
How it works is simple. By participating in the Amazon Associates Program, we receive referral fees from items you purchase from them via our web page. If you scan our list of available titles and find a book you want to purchase, click on the title to be connected to Amazon.com. Add that book to your cart; Amazon will know that you found it on our site and will designate up to 15% of the purchase price to go to our fund. Need more than one book from our list? Then please bookmark our site and come back to the list each time to grab more items! As mentioned, books from our site will generate up to 15% commission; other items, such as music, videos, CDs, and software will pay a 5% commission. In addition, any incremental purchases that you make from Amazon once you get there will also generate a commission, so don't stop with just Civil War books - stock up on gifts for family and friends as well! Since one hundred percent of the referral fees we make goes to our battlefield preservation fund, it's a win-win situation for all parties involved.
